8th February 2022 is a significant date for Manroland Sheetfed as it represents 10 years of ownership by privately owned engineering group Langley Holdings plc.
The past 10 years has been a time of impressive consolidation, growth and evolution. Fittingly then, ‘The Evolution of Print’ has become the company’s strapline, encapsulating this company’s vision for growing and leading through the print industry’s new and constant challenges.
In keeping with this vision, the 2016 Drupa Showcase saw the launch of the revolutionary ROLAND 700 Evolution, a machine that was to set a new standard in printing technology. Speaking at the pre-event conference, CEO Mr Rafael Penuela explained the vision behind his company’s success:
“This is not about the product, but the team itself – the way of thinking, and the way of adapting to changes… we are more lean, more dynamic and adapting to changes very quickly.”
Subsequent launches in the Evolution range strengthened Manroland Sheetfed’s reputation as the manufacturer of the world’s most technologically advanced offset presses. Summer 2020 saw the expansion of the Evolution press range to include the new ROLAND 900 Evolution, the field-leading large format press.
Amid growing confidence post-Covid in 2021, Manroland Sheetfed ramped up production at its Offenbach factory. New orders reached a record high in June last year. Head of Global Sales Peter Conrady said:
“We have been seeing an increasing number of projects… as printers around the world began to regain investment confidence post Covid.”
Now, after a century and a half of existence and ten flourishing years with the Langley group, Manroland Sheetfed is celebrating a new sales record, with even more promising times ahead.
