ROLAND 708 EVOLUTION creates lasting impression to event delegates
More than 150 professionals from the packaging printing industry attended the Manroland study visit for the ‘Printing Factories’ program on April 11. Jointly organized by Manroland and Guangdong Fareach Industry Group Co., Ltd., the event gave participants a rare opportunity to personally see the innovations and high productivity of Manroland presses in actual production.

In his welcome speech, Mr Feng shared the success of his company’s collaboration of more than 20 years with Manroland. Working closely with Manroland, Guangdong Fareach achieved one milestone after another.
“In the near future, we will further enhance our partnership with Manroland in various areas of technology, management and services,” Mr Feng added.
Founded in 1998, Guangdong Fareach is a modern enterprise specializing in packaging printing, finance and venture capital, construction materials and real estate. Its advanced packaging printing production base covers an area of more than 100,000 square metres and its doors were opened to receive participants of the Manroland Study Visit to Printing Factories program.
According to Mr. Feng, the company’s business and productivity achieved a breakthrough in 2002 when they acquired their first Manroland press, a ROLAND 706 with UV system. Since then, a number of top-quality Manroland machines have been installed at the facility. These include the ROLAND 707, ROLAND 708 with InlineFoiler and the latest flagship model, ROLAND 708 EVOLUTION.
The new ROLAND EVOLUTION, held the full attention of the participants thanks to its impressive performance in actual production, especially in the areas of print quality and productivity. It is “a fighter among the printing machines,” says Mr. Frandy Leung, Regional Sales Manager, South China, Manroland Sheetfed.
Seminar for further discussion
After the visit to Guangdong Fareach’s production base and the press demonstration, the participants attended the seminar for further discussion.
Dr. Peter Conrady, Managing Director of Manroland Greater China, greeted the guests online from Germany.

The event was also attended by Mr. Vincent Tillemans, Head of After Market, Manroland Sheetfed GmbH. Tillemans emphasized innovation is key for printers to maintain vitality. Only by continuous innovation in technology, application and management, can printing companies stay ahead of the competition. Guangdong Fareach Industry Group Co., Ltd. is the best example of how a company can evolve with the changing times, he added.

Signing ceremony
After his speech, Mr Feng and Vincent Tillemans signed the sales contract for a further ROLAND 708 LV EVOLUTION equipped with InlineFoiler and multiple automatic functions. According to Mr. Feng, since the smooth installation of their first ROLAND 708 EVOLUTION in 2018, the company’s business scale has grown rapidly, thus requiring the need to increase its printing capacity. The second ROLAND 708 EVOLUTION is expected to take the company’s production capacity to the next level.
ROLAND 700 EVOLUTION Ultima
After the signing ceremony, Ms. Janny Zhang, Regional General Manager of Sheetfed South China and Hong Kong, introduced in detail the ROLAND 700 EVOLUTION Ultima. This model is designed for process innovation. Various kinds of coating, printing and additional processes required in high-end packaging and commercial printing can now be done in one pass. The tailor- made solutions fully meet the special process requirements. It can help the printers to not only provide their customers with professional and attractive packaging products, solutions and services, but also keep increasing the brand value of their customers’ businesses.

Furthermore, Mr. Frandy Leung, Regional Sales Manager, South China, presented an in-depth introduction of the ROLAND 700 EVOLUTION and Manroland’s comprehensive solutions. The event was successfully concluded with a Thank-you Dinner. At the dinner, the management team of Manroland Greater China, including Mr. Tillemans, Ms. Fanny Chan, Vice President & CFO, Mr. Samuel Tam, General Manager Sheetfed, Mr. Thomas Luk, Head of Printing Supplies Division, and Ms Jane Gu, Head of Global Marketing, raised their glasses and thanked the participants. In return, the participants thanked Manroland for staging an enlightening value-added printing event for them.
